Ordered shrimp poboy with a side of potato wedges. Also got jalapeno poppers, hush puppies, fried okra, and crawfish pie. Everything was delicious. The portion sizes were generous. The employee also verified that their meats were halal, but I didn’t order a meat containing dish. Will come here again if I revisit NOLA.

The man up front when very kind and friendly and top of that the place was clean with the food being hot but great I got the wings.
Soon as we walked in we were greeted by Mo with great customer service. This is the newest location for Hooks on Claiborne. The food is good and always fresh. Very clean restrooms and cold AC. I ordered the fish & shrimp platter everything was hot and well season and delicious.
Don’t let the appearance fool you, this spot has good food, might be one of the best po’ boys you can get relative to the price.
Had great catfish, hooks shrimp, potato wedges and a mango and strawberry gourmet ice that was top notch!! Will definitely be back when I come to New Orleans.
Very nice customer service and fast service. Restaurant is clean and very cool. Nice place to sit if you need good food and place to cool down. Wings are cooked very good and just right. Hushpuppies are cooked very good love the the little corn pieces in the hushpuppies.
It was one of the best wings and fries I ever had. English wasn’t the first language of the cashier, though
